Amy Murphy Kuhnert
Amy’s background as an appraiser and art advisor combines formal education with extensive hands-on experience in the art market. She has a graduate degree from Cambridge University through Christie’s auction house – London, in Art History and Art Market Studies with a focus on Old Master paintings and prints. Amy also has a degree from Rhode Island School of Design in Appraisal Studies in Art and Antiques.
She is certified in accordance with The Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP), and has been appraising for over ten years. She is also a Accredited Member of ASA, The American Society of Appraisers.
Prior to beginning her appraisal and art advisory practice, Amy worked in Washington D.C. for Sloans & Kenyon auction house as a specialist in both the Furniture and Asian departments. She has also worked in the international fine arts insurance market with Henderson Phillips Fine Art, a Washington based fine art insurance company, and has thorough knowledge of the international art insurance market.
